Fabulous very crisp and original
Rolex Oyster Speedking dating from
1949 model no.5056, this is a watch
we sold around 15 years ago and
were glad to take it back in part
exchange for another watch we had
and we originally bought it from
the original owner who bought it
from Hancocks in Manchester in 1951
and when we sold it 15 years ago
we sold it with the original hand
written receipt from hancocks the
cost then was 20 odd pounds unfortunately
in the 15 years the past keeper
has had it this receipt has gone
adrift which was a shame. This unlike
most Rolex of this age hasn't been
"done up" polished up
or messed with , it's a real find
really even has the very desirable
dome top Oyster patent winding crown
which are very desirable, original
everything this apart from a new
strap , please note these
are quite a small watch up to most
nowadays but until the mid 1950s
gents watches were quite small
